I'm trying to get into Stellaris but it's just feeling a bit overwhelming and too complicated. Any suggestions on good strategy games for someone new to the genre?

TIA

What type of RTS game? Do you want space like you tried with Stellaris? I've played Homeworld: Remastered Collection, could be worth a look and I think it has an easy to follow tutorial from what I remember.

There is an oldish game that I used to own on disc and then they re-released the game on Steam. That's called Impossible Creatures Steam Edition and currently -75% making it £2.24.

Also don't forget Humble's current Strategy bundle; https://www.humblebundle.com/games/..._layout_index_1_layout_type_twos_tile_index_2

Even the 1$ tier could be worth picking up for some new options.

Also StarCraft 2 is F2P.

Do you get the whole bundle for 1$ nate or just one game

For 1$ you get Dungeon of the Endless, Endless Space Collection and Planetary Annihilation TITANS, then an extra COH2 skin DLC.

Then underneath the next tier ($7.08 at time of posting), you would get the games included underneath that and then finally you can pay 12$ to also unlock Endless Space 2 and Tooth and Tail.

Just had an email for this today, half price at the moment, but it's a turn based strategy game with good reviews, thinking of picking it up as I prefer turn based games in general :)

Stellaris is not turn based as far as I can tell. More like Sins of a Solar Empire with elements that you would normally find in a turn based game. So a bit of an inbetween really. It is not a game where you do stuff and click end turn but do all the decision making stuff whilst pausing the game.

Back on topic and OP you need to consider how hard some RTS games can be to play well. Reason why I wouldn't recommend Sins of the Solar Empire, tutorial wise it really lacks. Are you looking for SP or MP experience? Some of the Wargame series can pretty fun and from what I've gathered, not too difficult to pick up.

It's easy to learn a game but I'm still yet to master anything :p.

looks complicated string ;)

Gent's sorry to go off subject I was looking at that vegas pro 14 edit bundle how much could I get that for?

As mentioned in your other thread, paying 20$ (about £14.08) will get you everything listed on that page.

Sorry for the incredibly late reply, I've been busy with work and not really had time to sink. I'm definitely looking for SP games, is there a total war game you would advise I should start with, or will I just go with the latest release: Warhammer II?

I'm liking the look of Total War II but my big fear is that by the time I realise whether it's for me or not, the Steam refund will be well beyond the 2hr cut off.

Any recommendations for that game for beginners to the genre?

I'd recommend either Endless Legend or Endless Space 2.

It looks very much like Stellaris, but will give it a try at this price. :)

I was actually talking about a series called Wargame (https://store.steampowered.com/sub/45320/). I can't say about TW games as I haven't really played them long enough to grasp any of them.

Have a quick look at this for me, https://store.steampowered.com/app/208140/Endless_Space__Collection/. Is this something you could see yourself playing?

EDIT: Unless you've already bought Endless Space 2?
