Hopefully the title isn't too misleading. Here's a lil back story (cos we all love those).

I have a PC and I have a Chromecast. The PC has XBMC installed and is in a separate room to the TV where the Chromecast is connected. I also have XBMC on my Nexus 7 but it is very patchy and often crashes, so I never really bother with it. I have Plex on the PC and use it with my tablet and Chromecast to stream stuff to the TV.

However, the girlfiend (who loves her sports including football and darts, also has a likening to one Jeff from Sky Sports News), now wants to be able to watch stuff like Sky Sports News and Sky Sports.

I don't want to pay for Sky itself. And I have been looking at options like Now TV and the Roku TV. As well as Amazon Fire TV. I am still waiting to find out if and when we will get the Google Nexus Player over here. That would be my ideal device to use.

I have also thought about moving the PC from the bedroom to the front room, but it's a big case and it would just be in the way. I have also looked at building a HTPC or get a Raspberry Pi and stick XBMC on that and job done.

So basically, HELP! What would be the best option? I still want to be able to use both Plex and XBMC (Kodi) by the way. Thank you. :)

Many thanks for your reply. Will definitely consider your advice and might head in the direction of the Roku TV. I have a friend who has a Roku so I will ask her for more details. :)
