Spec me a sub

Hi people,

I'm looking to replace my old Sony SA-WMSP3 I got off ebay with something better. Not really sure what I need to be looking for. It will connect up to my 5.1 system which is run from a Sony str-dn1040. Would like it to be active and auto on/off and would go in the living room. Budget I would say is 200.

I second S2KIP's recommendation. BK Gemini II, is the best sub for £200, no question.

BK subs are fantastic, got a monolith and it's awesome

Why pay more when quality like this available for a reasonable price

Customer service is also great, I'm sure you won't be disapointed with any sub from these

Yeah I've looked at the thread before and it looks amazing. Not sure I've got the spare room for all that in my new house but looking at the new Sony X90C Series and maybe get a 55 or what ever will fit.

Just wondering now what speakers to get as i'm currently using 5 Kenwood CM-7ES speakers and they do the job in my bedroom but not sure the'll be all that great for the living room.

Those kenwoods look about the same size as JBL Control 1's. These speakers have been available to buy for Donkeys years now, no idea if JBL have made any revisions to the original design. I've suggested these to others here in the past, suffice to say that buying 3 pairs wont break the bank.

As always, ask for a demo before you buy.
