I work with someone who yesterday said to me he was going to go to PC world after work because they had a half price sale on! I was like, don't do it! So he doesn't have a budget but he only needs a computer for music composition. He plugs his laptop into his piano then goes up stairs to get his desktop to run some software that makes his music files. It doesn't sound particularly intensive. Otherwise he just does the usual. Needs a new monitor and other peripherals also and an operating system. His main concern is that the computer will still be working years down the line and is silent. He needs OC to build it and oh yes, he "mainly wants it to be shiny" or more likely stylish, so if there are some stylish peripherals that would work.
