Spec me a System for Network Virtualisation

Right, so I'm getting a new PC at work. Mainly to do some major virtualisation and network application testing. As well as some graphical work. Can someone please spec me a system with at least the following specification:

CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad
RAM - 8Gb
GPU - Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS

Budget is around £800, can stretch to £850, seeing as it's being paid for by the firm!

What do you mean by "some graphical work?" The rest looks great but a GTS might be overkill depending on what you'll be doing.

I'm not entirely sure really, I work in a school and the graphics card will be utilised for helping us achieve "Media Specialist" status. It has a lot to do with Apple Macs, but there's criteria that need to be met on the PC side of things too. But hey, thats on the teaching side of things! These specialist status things also bring in a lot of funding hence the spending on better machines to test newer things.

Maybe the GPU is overkill, but I figured might as well go for the one of the best so I don't get told it's not good enough down the line.

Ok, well I think you'd be better off with an ATi 3850 Pro or an 8800 GT, but if the school wants to overpay that's their business.
