I'm looking for a gen 3 MB, i have a case i can reuse, and also can reuse my windows 7 retail which is on this old system (q6600) thats very unstable, just given up trying to fix it.
So what i have atm is :-
monitor Asus VG278H 27"
case full tower LANLI
microsoft side winder x8 wireless mouse usb
microsoft wireless desktop elite PS2 keyboard
windows 7 ultimate retail

I think i will be doing some video encoding so i need a i7 cpu, 8gb ram, gen 3 MB, harddrive, and dvdrw burner, PSU, and a nvidia card of some sort, i wanna do some 3D gaming since i have a nice 120hz asus monitor, looks like i will be needing a heatsink and fan the retail cpu don't come with them now it looks like it.
Got around 1000 pound to spend can go over if needed.
Need to get order in today, i wanna build this new system at weekend.

looks like a nice MB Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-GEN3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
but lookin at the Tech Spec theres no sign if its pci 3.0

As for the Lian Li case its old now, that old i can't remember the modal of it, this is going to be its third system installed in it since i bought it years and years back, i can say it as got a P5k-e wifi motherboard in it atm if that helps.

I've bumped up the video card spec and drop the SSD for now, and gone for a bigger PSU. Can you check see all this lot would work fine?

yes i will be doing encoding so must put my foot down on the i7
and i do like the Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-GEN3 MB it as esata which will come in handy and it as PS2.
But all the spec i put together will it be ok?

yes i was going to wait but this system will not its doing random shut downs and its almost 5 years old now its not worth trying to fix it.

Hope this basket turns up today i just looked at my Outstanding Orders in accounts, says "Order Status: In our warehouse queue" thats not looking good.
When i first tried to place order online the bank check at the very end didn't pass for some unknown reason, then it asked me if i wanted to have a call back to place order over phone at OC which i did, but time slot for the call back came and passed by, so i phoned Sales and Order Enquries, placed order over phone. The guy on the phone said i would get a email which i did "Your order has been received" i also ask would this order show in my accounts Outstanding Orders he said no, about 1 hour later i got a call from the bank automated service asking if the charges on the card was authorized, 2 checks was from OC 1 online 1 over phone, both i answered yes too and some charges on the card also which i knew about. I did phone OC Enquries yesterday to double check there wasn't a double up on the order after i got the card check from the bank. He said no but i just checked this morning and there is a Outstanding Order In our warehouse queue  Internet Reference number are the same on the email as the Outstanding Order.

just phoned Order Enquries, yep the order as not left warehouse, payment as been taken, i guess with the glitch of the web order which failed and that was a a large basket cost and then i placed the order over phone which was another large amount, then the phone call from the bank check a very stressfull order this as been. I love to know what did hold up the dispatch of the order. The order has been received was at 15:07 what is the cut off time for next day delivery?

well another update to the shopping experience at OC just got a email MSI GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card Backordered due to stock shortage, No ETA. I was told earlier this morning that all my basket was in stock. I just phoned up yet again to swap out the MSI card for the Gainward GeForce GTX 570. Well at least the price of the basket as gone down by £18, i was in 2 minds just to cancel the order.

I got the basket friday around 12:30 and started to build it around 5pm me and a friend, got the heatsink fans and so that was nightmare took us about 1hrs to just put the heatsink and fan together and install it onto the MB. Fast forward to the time we was going to start the system up, didnt plug any HD's in at first boot, just want to make sure system powered on ok, press button system boots ok into bios had a look. we shut down system added the seagate and dvd, power on the system didnt find any HD in bios at all Pioneer 24x Internal was there ok, so we power down change the sata ports around but sometimes it would find the HD it always found the Pioneer writer. Anyway around an hour or so later it was still active so we try to install win 7 on the seagate, it went through the install and when it got to the part where it says its about to restart system, it power down restarted, and when it tried to boot into the HD we got a system error on boot of HD. So i gave up on the seagate, and then tried a older 250gb HD WD i had, and that booted fine found the HD installed windows 7 and its still up and running now using atm. So what to do with the seagate, what i can see its a bad drive. rma ? or anything else i can try?
Oh and i have two other 2x2tb slaves in this system also, so i have 3 HD's in this system working fine, plus DVD writer.

what is the normal procedure for RMA stuff to overclockers, would be my first time, do i pay for the said HD to be sent back, or do overclockers send out a courier to come and collect the HD ??
Last time i dealt with needing to RMA a item back, was a monitor (not overclockers) and said company sent out a courier for the monitor, was found faulty btw.

Just tried to boot off that HD again, it did boot up first, i entered the bios and look around changed boot from dvd first save and exit, tried to boot from dvd it didn't find HD this time, 3 more times i booted system no HD. So i've given up, back to the old HD that works and my other 2 WD 2x2tb slaves.
Oh i did find a option in bios Delay for hd (secs), was set to default 0 so i tried 3 then 6 goes upto 15, and this option is really for older HD's, didnt work also. I'm using the same sata cable on that seagate as i am on this WD, also same power line.
