My mate needs a system for around £500 or £600 at a push.

Dont need monitor, keyboard or mice but everything else.

Anyone help?

His needs are gaming/editing :)

Here's an AMD based alternative - the CPU is no where near as good but the graphics card is a lot better, not too sure which will benefit you more but it's always good to have choice lol

Looks like a good spec by cookeh there :D

I forgot to mention he doesnt need W7 either so ill add a better cooler/dvd drive and away he goes :D

Gelid Tranquillo is very quiet, but unlike the Freezer 13 isn't capable of push/pull fan config so you should be able to attain lower temps.
