Well its not really for me but my 5 year old girl,
she loves playing games even bf4  and looking at maps and drawing.

I really dont want to spend more than 140 quid
and had been looking at a hudle from tesco but if Ocuk has something equivalent or better then all good.

This looks quit nice for the price http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=TB-011-OT&tool=3

But really im open to anything thats likely to last more than a year, :D

At the absolute bottom end is the 7" inch Touch Screen Allwinner A13. 7" tablet available for £40. But the spec is pretty cruddy. Not bad for the price though!

The hudle is actually getting pretty good reviews but I've not used one myself.

The Asus Memo Pad HD 7 is around the same price as the hudle and also might be worth looking at.

Watch out for the battery life on the OCUK one that you linked to - only 2-3 hours. Not very impressive. Although that might be an advantage when you want to get your daughter away from the screen!

Asus Memo HD7, or Nexus 7 2012 are around £120. I'd probably go for one of those. Hudl also looks pretty good. I wouldn't go for the cheap rebranded ones as battery life is generally poor. Memo, Nexus or Hudl can probably achieve around 7+ hours, which is probably double what you get from cheap rebranded offerings.

I do think the new ipad mini retina hits a sweetspot. While i cant say its cheap, it definitely gives me the worth-it feeling.

Oh, you can play bf4 on it too. In commander mode. :D

Edit: sorry didnt see the 140quid budget

The thought never crossed my mind :D

Thanks for the input guys i think im going to go for the huddle ,
only due to the decent battery life and my older daughter works at tescos and gets 10% discount.
Oh and apparently her friend at school has one ;)

both my daughters have Kindle Fire HDs. You can get for £99 now. My two were 10 and 6 when they got them and have played with them non stop. My advice is dont buy cheap chinese stuff. It wont stand up to kids.

Asus Memo Pad HD 7" is available for £59. Ordered one to have a play around with, couldn't really resist at that price. Check hotukdeals for the link :)

The Tegra Note 7 was awesome (higher spec than Nexus 7 2012) when it was on sale at the purple shirt place for just £99.99...shame that price didn't last more than a few days, and it shot back up to £129.99...:o
