Afternoon all,

Have a feeling this one may not have been done before, but I'm in some serious recommendation of where you can buy a decent Teddy in London....?

Any suggestions appreciated :D

How predictable...

On a more serious note - Harrods is teddy heaven - expensive though :p I believe I saw a gold plated one in a box for about £200'000  :p

Mmmyeah - may be slight overkill for my needs! Presume they have tonnes of others that aren't quite so house-priced?

Sounds like i'll be spending a few hours in Hamleys/Harrods then trying to work out wtf makes a good teddy bear

Building my own bear would probably end in some disastrous mutation of a bear that i think is hilarious, but the gf would think looks like an inbred quasimodo with elephantitis

Awesome, Hamleys first stop, just so I can buy myself a toy as well!

Just got to face what i'm guessing is gonna be a massive choice of bears to choose from for the ladyfriend :-z

Bourbon looks very cute :)

Of the Hamleys bears I think Oatmeal and Flapjack look very sweet too - I prefer ones without obvious smiles because then you can imagine any expression onto them instead of seeing a blank grin staring back. Call me weird, if you like...

Strangely i was thinking along the same lines (about which bears, not about the expression thing :-\ ) - basically wanna go for something she can give a good squeeze!

Screw that! I want one that will do for replacing me when she needs a 'cuddly sleep'

:p

Disclaimer: If my better half happens to get wind of that comment, I didnt mean it!

not at all! they do the cutest little things!

they aren't all stuffy things to be put on a shelf and looked at!
my hubby (when we were dating and I had to spend a lot of time away from him) bought me one - they even do baby friendly teddies, and they are the softest / cuddliest of things!!

Ah see, now you've thrown a right spanner in the works! There should be documented criteria for womens teddy bear requirements

Went for Bourbon bear, got to Hamleys and he looked quality!

Also, was accosted by stilt-wearing pirates as I entered the store, so fun was had by all!

Cheers for the help guys n gals :)
