I've got a little side job fixing computers so I need a test computer to plug things into, back stuff up onto and usuall test stuff. I have an old Athlon XP I can use for old AGP and DDR testing, but Windows rans far too slowly on that, so need something more nippy.

So it has to be the absolute cheapest thing but is efficient. It will not be overclocked. onboard graphics would be fine too.

Obviously the case is going to be left open, so a very accessible case would be good, but I have an old case lying about i can use if I can't find a suitble case.

Thanks

Something using one of the Asrock boards, that suppports both DDR1 and DDR2, aswell as both PCIe and AGP. Not to forget numerous PCI slots. Great for testing various ram and graphics cards.
The new socket 775 ones support all 775 chips as far as I know. Have had one myself and used one in a build for a mate and both were nice and solid.
