spec me a thin camera strap please! :)

Hi guys I'm after a replacement for my Canon strap, I would like this to wear shoulder to hip and it has to be relatively thin to fit in by crumpler quick escape bag.

Any thoughts?

I have the Leash and Cuff from Peak Design and its brilliant. The toggle system is very strong and secure yet quick to release which can be done with one hand.

The Leash is nice and thin and slides over clothes very easily as its made of seatbelt like material. Its also very adjustable so it can either be a neck strap or an over the shoulder strap. If you do order a Leash, you should also order the Cuff as its a brilliant wrist strap. I was out taking photos all day today at a classic bike rally and it was perfect to just walk around with camera in hand without the risk of dropping.

Shipping from the US takes around a month (dispatched end of March and mine arrived end of April) but for $50, it a bargain.

Let me know if you want any photos of it in action on the camera

EDIT: You may be able to get hold of these in the UK now - when I ordered they were pretty much sold out everywhere so I ended up ordering from Peak Design direct but UK retailers may have stock now.

Yea, I backed it on kickstarter, did the job nicely on the trip to Italy recently, the easy slide is my favourite feature, it just doesn't get caught on anything.

Received it and it was precisely what I was after, great choice as it can be easily detatched and fit with the cuff strap instead. It's very thin but feels nice to wear, will report back following a long walk with the camera.

This has been great. Is compact enough to get in my small carry bag and I found it very comfortable as a sling. Went walking for hours with it in Wales a few weeks ago and was superb!

To add extra comfort for those with heavier kit, I used the strap padding from a Pentax side bag (which I use from time to time on walkabouts as a lens bag!) like so:

Yea the clutch and leash are fine, mines getting a bit tatty now so they need to hurry up and fix the new ones
