Spec me a tool kit

Well not me, my nephew wants one for Chrismas, I'd like to get him something of reasonable quality but I remember when I was 12 tools ended up laying around.

A set of usable tools would be nice not a load of tools that he'd never use

He's hopefully going to use them for now on pushbikes etc but wants to get into m/x and cars eventually

Budget £30 for a starter set

Nothing to lavish so that he gets only a handfull, I'm thinking spanners, ratchet screwdriver and bits, hammer and various grips

What do you reckon? any experience?

Machine mart are good aswell, the clarke pro sets have a lifetime wty, the halfords £99 set is the only good value set tbh.

you really want a socket set too. machine marts 3/8 metric set rocks
