Hi All

I'm trying to get more into single player games. I have an OLED TV and i want to try playing some games on that. I'm a first person guy really, but want to try some 3rd person games on a controller.

I'm thinking of Spiderman remastered or the last of us part 1. Are these good options for someone who is a bit cack with a controller?

Anything else spring to mind? i like a good story, (and something easy to pick up). rather than grinding away for XP stuff.

If its on sale on steam, that would be ideal. Ive probably got numerous options in steam already, but this is not the way is it :)

Cheers

Andy

topdown or third person:

Artificial Extinction
Hardspace: Shipbreaker
Magicka
Palworld

Vampire Survivors

Broforce
Disco Elysium - The Final Cut

Stray is a genuinely beautiful game and not that long either, well worth giving a shot regardless of your preferred genres.

That said, what genres do you actually prefer? It's difficult to give many suggestions without knowing if there's any particular things you hate/love etc.

There's a Quantic Dream Steam sale on at the moment and even a bundle that would look and play fantastically on a nice TV, they made Heavy Rain, Detroit: Become Human, Beyond: Two Souls and Fahrenheit.

Spiderman in my experience is not for people cack with a controller, i found the Batman games much easier with the controls

Spiderman 2 is a work of art though, its one of the most impressive games i have ever seen

Thanks guys.

Game wise. Half life is my number one. Largely enjoyed the metro games, exodus being my favourite of the three.

Just fancy something different really, but a well crafted story for me personally is better than the option to roam around anywhere.

I played limbo and Inside. on the old plasma, enjoyed those.

Only 3rd person game I've played since PlayStation 1 days was quantum break. I played it with a mouse and keyboard though. Controls felt a bit clunky, other reports of the same I think, so maybe not just me.

I have beyond: two souls so I could give that a go. I have "control" too I think.

Stray is a good shout. I read about it when it came out.. there is a fox game too which I've been meaning to play.

I've probably got stuff to play already, but I might give spiderman a go.

Got some stuff to look up, so thanks guys

Ones not mentioned:

Horizon series
