Spec me a TV

It's probably pointless asking this on a UK forum but with Black Friday almost upon us it's time to get a new TV.

I'm looking for something 65"+.
$2k max. (although wife would probably argue that we're not spending anywhere near that)
OLED would be nice - the LG 65" is down to $3k right now. Are they worth the extra cash?
Don't need smart stuff as I've got an Apple TV
Don't need 3D

Best Buy have got the Sony XBR-65X850D and the Samsung UN65KS8000FXZA marked down and have caught my eye. Any good?

Panasonic 902 range are decent, they do a 65" for around £2k. I'm getting the 58" version of the 902 range delivered tomorrow from currys.

Having seen it a few times I was very impressed by the colours and level of detail. More so than the LG OLED sets where I found the details in any black scene were crushed out.
