Meh,.
Only had this computer less than a month and already seeing it is struggling. (spec in sig) I have around £100 to play with what would you guys recommend?

Gaming at high-res games such as Company of heroes , empire total war ect , if it gets hectic this computer struggles , a lot!.

Haven't tried overclocking yet , just posted a thread in the CPU section.
 
It's struggling because you are trying to make it do more than it physically can. Did you spec the machine for the purposes of playing those games? Did you use their recommended specs as a guideline?

Throwing £100 at it isn't going to give you an adequate performance increase in those games that will make you feel it's no longer struggling.
 
GFX card maybe? As you have mentioned high-res.

I would recommend more like £150-£180 for a good GFX card though.
 
you would have to sell some old parts in able to get something semi decent....


even then i doubt you getting much money to make mass improvements at all....


personally i think you would get £100 max for ur gpu... giving you £200 for a new card maybe but unlikely.. even then i would spend at least £230 £250 on new card at least

same with cpu... i think you need to save a few more coins up
 
:( dont have any more money and only got this system 2 weeks ago from OcUK. Wouls lowering res help? playing on 28" monitor.
