Spec me a upgrade

If the knowledgeable people at OcUk could help it would be great. Here is my current system

Asus A8N-SLI SE
Athlon X2 4200
2Gb Ram
750Gb Hard Drive Space
DVDRW
GeForce 7600 GT
CoolerMaster Case
600w Hiper Power Supply

Looking to upgrade soon to a new rig, not sure to go with i5 or i7 and nVidia or ATI. Budget is around £300-£600, for the higher end of the budget would want some more storage. Really looking to replace mobo, processor, memory and gpu. Looking to recycle most items.

I mainly do web browsing, play a couple of games (well try, want to play F.E.A.R 2 but this rig won't handle it!) and photo editing.

Youll have to wait for the 5850 to come in stock though

Its upto you really the 5850 matches or beats the GTX 285 is still on beta drivers etc so it will only improve.
Also bear in mind the 5850 is a single gpu and its currently the only dx11 card available alongside the ATI 5870.

The 5850 has a really low power draw at idle and full load as well so itll save you some money on your electricity bill! The sames true of the i5 750 CPU.
