Spec me a vacuum cleaner

Sebo's another top brand. Don't think I'd consider much other than Sebo or Miele.

+1 Sebo if weight bothers you, plus sebo pull themselves along, mum got one after i did a spec me thread. She has arthritis making the sebo ideal, she loves it.

Got a Vax wet-n-dry with an order for cloth bags and filter replacement kits. It has not failed and does not cut out like some other makes including two dysons we had years ago! Nothing more annoying than to be cleaning up and the motor cuts out for a few hours leaving you having to sweep with a brush or find another vacuum.

We are into our 8th year with our Dyson upright and no problems to report whatsoever.

Like anything you get good one and you get bad ones.

Friends of ours use a Panasonic Upright which they swear is the greatest vacuum known to mankind.

Had a panasonic bagless. It worked but needed to be cleaned out far too much and only one side of the dust catcher worked properly. It was cheap tho so you get what you pay for I guess.

I'd recommend Henry for value for money. Relatively cheap to buy, cheap to run (the HEPA bags are about 50p each and far larger than most vacuum cleaner bags), very durable and they work well. They're also very quiet for a vacuum cleaner because they use a larger fan at a lower speed.

Miele are better, but they cost more.

We've had a Dyson for about 4-5 years now.

Always looked after, cleaned out on a regular basis and still performs like its just come out of the box.

Couldn't ask for any more than that !
