Sigh...

Could I get some recommendations for a new Vacuum or my flat, ideally from personal experience rather than brand preferences.

No preference as to push/pull, floorboards throughout flat with 2 big rugs. Current Vax upright has been on the blink for a while and just packed in, was rubbish from the start if I'm honest.

Is a Dyson or Miele really worth the extra cash? Or Henry all the way?

Cheers

I recently bought a Miele, and whilst because the build quality and its German makes me warm and fuzzy I couldn't really say it is hugely better than cheaper brands, maybe longevity will be its forte tho.

That's what I'm thinking also, don't mind paying more if it would last longer.

Haha, class :D

Had our Henry for 3 years now, wood flooring and carpet throughout our flat and our little fella hasn't let us down.

Yeah, I think my mind is made up on a Henry. Had one in a rented flat and the suction was great and was built like a wee tank.

Cheers for the replies, appreciated.

Decided to go for the Henry, although it was a tough decision with the cheaper Miele Grimley posted.

Not quite willing to part with £200+ on a vacuum just yet, however I may be kicking myself if the Henry falls over.
