Hi guys,

As the title says, could you please recommend me a good vaping kit to get started on please? (Vapers Lounge = tl;dr)

I have been smoking for about 12yrs straight, and know its's about time to quit for all obvious reasons.

I have tried my hand in some e-cigs, even had a starter kit for one a while back, but that ended up a piece of crap.

A lot of e-cigs I have tried also had not seemed to do it for me, as I did not find them strong enough, and there was hardly any vapour at all.

What would be ideal for me would be something quite strong, that gives out enough vapour for my tired lungs to feel that I'm smoking.

Budget could be up to £100 if it's worth it, and helps save my life.

P.S. Don't really mind about flavours, just need something that works :)

Cheers guys

Sorry, cannot spec you a vaping kit but....

What you really need rather than pour more money at the issue is willpower.

I tried e-Cigs as well but they are nasty, I just decided enough was enough and that I am not weaker than some chemicals in my head and that was it, more than a year now without smoking.

I use daily...

2 * http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/Deluxe-Vaping-Kits/Joyetech-EGo-T-900/Joyetech-EGo-C-900-Battery.html (use a older version of this)

1 * http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Tanks--Accessories/Kanger-Protank.html (ultra reliable tons of vapor)

Then get some 24mg Juices.. I smoke just this as don't get on with most. (started 24mg now on 18)

Oh and you need a charger...

Spare heads in 2.5 Ohm (if you don't wanna mess winding own, change maybe once a week)

All you need really.

This will end well.

Glad to hear that EGuitarStar, well done :)

Problem with me is boredom and depression, so I have no motivation or willpower whatsoever. I think I would go mad without smoking.
That's why I would like to move on to Vapours, hopefully start cutting down on those, the healthier option, although as said, I really don't think I would be able to cut down/stop so easily.

Cheers Flukester, will definitely be looking into that after work

What a load of tripe

MYTH – It is best to rely on willpower alone when
trying to stop smoking.
FACT – Willpower alone gives you the lowest
chance of success of any method.
Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and
prescription medications improve your
chances of stopping as does joining a
stop smoking group and talking to a QUIT
counsellor on 0800 00 22 00. If you use
medication and support you can quadruple
your chances of success.(26)

However, I am glad it worked for you, but it does NOT work for everyone. Switching to e-ciggs is the best way to stop smoking if conventional NRT has proven to be ineffective.

I suggest you read the vapers lounge, it really has a wealth of info but what Flukester has specced up should get you going for the time being. Once you feel confident enough then you can discover a brand new world of mods and rebuildables.

That is a bit like saying to a guy looking over the edge of a bridge "Instead of calling the suicide hotline, read this pamphlet about Jesus Christ and redemption"

If it stops him smoking it's a step in the right direction.
To good think about a vaper compared to say an inhalator or a nicotine patch, is a vaper gives the hand to mouth thing something to do, and it delivers the hit instantly, a vaper, patch, lozenge etc. is slow release. A vaper gives instant hit into your bloodstream which is what a cigarette gives.

I just bought a ego I think it was OP, careful not to spill the juice all over your hands/ desk it stinks to high heavens and gave me a migraine (Although that might have been the juice getting absorbed into my skin). Additionally, don't spill it on the inhaley tube bit, it tastes vile, no amount of swilling gin will remove that taste

He does have a point though, that thread is getting a little large. Perhaps we may be seeing a new sub-forum soon. :p

vapers don't need to be divided into sub sections :p

All you need to do is read the last few pages and someone would have asked the same question.

If new vapers feel there should be an FAQ or starter kit added to the first post then suggest it and see if the OP adds it. ;)

I like the VIP brand, personally:

I do find that if I'm going away from USB power for a weekend, at least two fully charged batteries are a must. But the kit is easily portable for daily use, USB charged in about 2 hours and great if, like me, you tend to smoke a LOT during all the boring cutscenes in games!!

Have one on the go, charge the other battery in your keyboard USB, job's a good'un.

Cheers for the help guys! Really do appreciate it :)

I did try having a look on the vapour lounge, but I could not find a 'spec me' post, just a load of different modding and battery sizing.

I had always thought starter-kits would be like £79+, so really glad I asked you guys, as I'm pretty sure I'd have made a huge mistake just searching and buying.

I do like the look of that one Redz posted, and will have decided in a little but :D

Once again, thx for the help guys, can't wait to smell again :P
