Spec me a very basic mixing device

I want to be able to use my hifi for music from my iPod/laptop, and to output sound from my PS2 at the same time.

Can anybody spec me a basic two channel stereo mixing device that will let me do this? I don't need any tone/balance etc. control, just volume for each channel.

The simpler, cheaper, and smaller, the better, because this is all I will use it for - no point in overkill.

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies.

Not sure if I made it clear but the reason I want this is so I can listen to my own music while playing on games such as GT4 (and be able to hear the engine); the integrated amp I have already has plenty of easily switchable inputs.

I'm wondering is this is the kind of thing I'm after, http://www.maxiaudio.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=G016AB but can't work out if each 'channel' is mono or stereo though - anyone got any ideas? Ideally I'd get something without mic functionality at all because I simply don't need it, but this is the closest to what I want that I've found.

That is actually more than you would need, as long as the one I posted outputs stereo (which I'm pretty sure it does) that's all you need plus of course the adapter which are about £1 each.

If you are willing to spend £34.99 The Samson S-MIX Minature Mixer has RCA in and out for PS3 to stereo without faffing and quater inch inputs for the MP3 player.

I can't link because they sell PCs it looks ideal though.

I'm beginning to wonder if I might be better off building something myself. I have a decent amount of experience with digital electronics but have done very little in the way of analogue work, let alone audio. Would something like this work? (VR1 & 2 would be controlled by the same fader, as would VR3 & 4)

Or would I need an op-amp setup as a summing amplifier on the output in order to negate any differences in the characteristics of the inputs? I'd rather not have to include an op-amp so that the circuit is passive and doesn't require a power supply.

why dont you use a mixing desk rather than a mixer?

Look at a tapco mix.50, or a yamaha mg10/2.

Both excellent mixers and need only phonos or jack to phono adapters to work. Outputs are balanced or unbalanced. Easy. Mono or stereo depending on your application.

Being the obsessive minimalist that I am, I would really like it to be as compact as possible.

I just realised that the schematic I'd included in my previous post wasn't showing. Have edited post and it does show now; can anyone offer a second opinion on it?

Thanks
