Hi all,

I'm looking to build an m-itx system, primarily for xbmc use, I have no real clue about self building these little systems (I've just purchased nettops in the past but never found them to be quiet enough).

I have a budget of around 500, give or take, only requirement is a nice case and a small SSD for the OS and large mechanical for storage.

Any help is appreciated, I have no idea what to go for,

Looks lovely, gives me a starting point, though the mobo doesn't seem easy to get hold of now so may have to find an alternative.

Indeed, I wasn't even really suggesting a llano, in fact i3 core has advantages depending on what you want. Plus amd Trinity is virtually upon us and ivy bridge is here....

It was more that the case + pico psu is really the winning combo here.

Streacom make some very nice fanless HTPC cases (as Bigsy has already mentioned). The FC9 & FC10 are released early next month. The former supports miniITX and mATX motherboards, while the latter adds support for ATX.

oooohhh pretty, shame the cpu cooler doesn't support s939, that FC9 would have made a lovely little case for my old rig :(

Anyways I was going to suggest streacom too...

Shame about the price of these things for what they are, If it were more in a respectable region of between £50-100 I would snap one of these cases up straight away :)
