Spec me a video camera please

I've never bought or owned a video camera, and I find myself needing one just for some basic video recording tasks. FPS and picture / sound quality are not even that important. Storage method also isn't a factor as long as I can transfer to PC. Just the ability to record for over 2 hours (can be plugged in), to be portable, reliable and most of all, cheaply priced.

Any suggestions?

Have you thought of getting an older gopro or third party equivalent of Amazon? Ive seen some action cams for about £40 over there

How cheap?
The Canon R806, looking quickly would suffice.
Any cheaper and you might be better off 2nd hand.
SD cards and long life 3rd party batteries can be bought cheap from.new to support 1080 recordings.
