I’m in the process of setting up a home studio and looking at building a decent PC that will solely be used for video editing and music recording/producing.

I haven’t got a huge budget but I don’t want something that’s going to struggle.

I’m typically used to Intel CPU’s and have always used Intel in previous builds but happy to consider Ryzen if it’ll give a performance/cost boost while being stable.

I also wondered if I could get some opinions on the choice between the following:

1) 1 x 27” 4K monitor
Or
2) 2 x Dell U2419h (2 x 1920x1080)

what programs are you using ?

Music tends to favour Intel due to higher Core speed and IPC until Zen2 came out . Some are able too now handle a layer per core for tracks .
Adobe now been updated were AMD performs equal to Intel , but recently updated GPU encoding to add some nice performance.

as with monitors, where will you videos end up ? monitors with higher Adobe scale/ DCI-P3 (Used in HDR) are the best along with TRUE 10 Bit monitors but you'll need a set GPU to run them. The you have features like HDR and resolution depending on your video is edited to.
