I've never had a nice watch before and my current watch (15yrs old, cost about £50) is on the way out. I've had a Galaxy smart watch for a few years but I just went back to my current standard watch after a while because I found the Galaxy watch too clumpy and I never really used the functions. I'm no watch collector or enthusiast so my idea of a nice watch needs to be under £300 or so. I'm not quite at the stage yet where I could put down 4-5 figures on a watch, however that is a possibility down the line (once mortgage is gone etc) as I've always found clocks and watches fascinating, not sure why.
So yea, budget at this stage is around £300
Not digital
Not too bulky
Not overly crowded face, less is more
Just time is fine, showing the date is good too but not a necessity
Prefer wind up or automatic but it's not a deal breaker if it uses a battery
Not plastic
Durable - Nothing over the top, but I don't like having to remember to take my watch off if I decide to do some DIY or change the oil in my car.
A couple of people at work mentioned Citizen watches
But I really would appreciate some input from here as I know there will be people here who know about this sort of thing
