My 21st is fast approaching and I'm currently looking for things to treat myself to. A watch being one of them.

I have little knowledge about watches, so I'm not particularly sure what features it takes to be deemed a "Good Watch". Any Help?

All I know is that I really like the Bell & Ross BR01-94 in orange, however this is well out of my price range... Ideally I'm looking to spend about £200-£300

I have my eye on the Wenger SRC Commando, but I'm aware it looks slightly tacky.

I'd prefer it was an everyday watch, something that I would only wear on special occasions.

Thoughts? :)

Most watches by omega\tag\rotary etc look so samey and too busy, I prefer simplistic designs, check out Fossil's Phillipe Stark range, they're beautiful, and max of £130.

In that price range and given you like bell & ross you could have a look at Lum Tec (i think they are quite likely to appeal to you and I have heard some good feedback from owners) - they have autos for around 400 euros (some of them use a russian military movement that I don't know about but I've heard it's robust):

look at the 2009 watches and there is a quartz chrono very like the B&R: A2 /bull45 series
Brushed Stainless steel case. Black dial /ORANGE lume.

down the page though are some autos which are a better prospect IMO: B2

Hard PVD casing. MDV technologie / GX lume.:

M16

Brushed Stainless steel case. Rare vintage winding!

etc.

you could also get a christopher ward auto for that money (but probably not your cup of tea given the bell and ross - you may like their pilots and they have a range of new watches coming out in a month or two including an auto chrono and a new auto diver which looks good)

or have a look at second hand watches from major brands, but you aren't open to many options until you get a bit higher
