Yes, I know, yet another spec me thread. I just can't help it!

I need a new water bottle, but struggling to find a reusable water bottle that fits my needs, or I'm just not looking hard enough. Probably the latter.

  • Stainless steel
  • 1L to 1.5L in capacity
  • Leak-proof

Throw your suggestions.

Recently bought one of these bad boys in 2.5l guise. They have a 1.1l one. Very happy with it.

It came with a straw spout as well as just an opening one, I use the opening and binned the straw. They’re just germ magnets and a PITA to clean.

Only thing with it is that the opening is quite small so I don’t even bother putting it in the dishwasher and wash it by hand with a bottle brush. Maybe it’ll be less of a concern in the smaller capacity.

I used to use Sigg water bottles

they would be quick good at keeping water cold, you need to clean it now and again though

I have a Yeti Rambler that is use daily and it's excellent.

It's insulation is superb, so much better than the old Chilly's I used regularly for general use. Stick some ice in there though and it'll be there all day. I only use the standard top so can't comment on the other tops / caps they provide.

Another vote for a Yeti Rambler here, however they are bulky!
That's a potential concern for me. I ordered a Chilly's 1.8L last year, but I ended up returning it as it was far too big/bulky than anticipated. Then I gave up searching for another bottle until... today.

Though, that might be because I bought the 1.8L, hence finding a slightly lower capacity now.

Owala Freesip - i struggle to fit the 40oz (~1.1ltr) in a cup holder but it works well albeit it wasn't particularly cheap.

Saying that, most days i just throw my Contigo Ashland in my bag; it's plastic, not what you're after i know, but it was around £8 from Tesco and i'm not bothered if it gets damaged or banged up unlike the Owala.

Also, I must admit that after giving up searching for a bottle, I just went back to reusing a plastic Evian 1.5L bottle for the gym/travelling to work... and the potential health implications of that never really crossed my mind until recently.

After drinking many microplastics and probably doing a number to my body for the most part of the year, I thought I should go back on the hunt for a bottle that's designed to be reusable. Decent options suggested in this thread so far!

I have a battered Contigo Ashland (only 590ml) which is great, but I bought 6 of these in June for the kids and they're just as good at keeping water cold (needed a selection of colours so they don't get mixed up).

Easy to clean and good value.

I just bought a very similar to the above in a 1litre size. Stainless steel. Straw and regular cap. Was very impressed for the price. 120kr so about a tenner....
Amazon have unlimited variants.
I guess a well branded one is 3x the price

I have water bottles everywhere... I normally bin them all and get a freash set after a few months as I mainly use plastic ones. They are in everyroom of the house, in the car and I have spares for the gym, for when I go walking etc.. I mainly use plastic ones as I only tend to drink water.

But some how I've managed to get three metal ones, two vmware ones and one cooper vaccum insulated one from capgemini... all free. just vist a trade show, I think my boss has a few from the states as he just came back from one.

What size do you have? Is it bulky to carry?

I have both 760ml and 1L.

They are pretty chunky. The 1L doesn't leave the house I usually use that for in the garden etc. The 760ml fits in the side pocket of my main bag when I take that out on holiday or to the office, but it's still pretty wide. Wouldn't fit in a car cup holder for example.
