I've used water coling on my Barton XP2500+ CPU for over 3 years. I'm upgrading to a e2180 / 8800GTS Graphics card / Gigabyte P35-DS3P Board and would like to see whats on offer.

I may stay with air cooling but currently I'm undecided.

I've already got an Ehiem 1250 Pump so would just need the CPU/GPU/NB blocks. Originially I used 1/2" ID Hose. Is there still an ongoing debate about which ID is better?

Thanks for any help :)

D-Tek Fuzion/Apogee GTX - CPU Block
EK 8800GTS Waterblock - GFX
Swiftech MCW-30 - NB

You can use either 1/2" or 7/16" with 1/2" barbs the 7/16 will fit very very snugly and wont require any hose clips, bvut the 1/2 might require them :)

Tubing size make little difference. That debate is over now it seems.

I found that 3/8" Tygon fits snuggly on 1/2" barbs.

I'm a big fan of the 7/16" Masterkleer tubing. Nice and flexible, and you can get away without hose clips on some barbs (I know this is the case with the swiftech barbs)

The blocks Ben suggested look good to me, don't really know much about the EK block, I'm using a swiftech stealth on my 8800gts and it works great :)

I'm a Masterkleer convert as well, the compactness of 3/8" tubing with nearly the ID of 1/2" tubing and just right for using 1/2" barbs without clips.

BEn_2600+ CPU/GFX recommendations are good blocks, NB wise it's not so important other than it fits you're particular board.

What rad have you got?

'm using a heater matrix from a Sierra. Its basically the same size as a 120.2 but only cost £16.

good lad :P
heater matrix rads for the win! really tempted to resurect my 2500 barton watercooling setup for use with the core 2 I have now! wonder if I can get the maze 3 to fit.........................
