As above, i'll be purchasing my first time watercooling setup in my Mini P180 case.

I know i have limited room so i have noted down some factors that need to be met for this setup.

  • I need a single rad (double thickness if possible)
  • Budget is between £150-£200
  • I only have 1 drive bay remaining
  • There is a big 5870 graphics card in the way aswel.

So with these in mind, can someone spec me a good setup using overclockers products of course. I would like to use compression connectors rather than barbs tbh but either will do. Also please bare in mind this is my first time watercool so im still abit confused with what thread sizes connect with what and with what size tubing etc.

Thanks
Jay

if its just the cpu to save case modding i cant see why anything more than a h70 would be neened tbh

The corsair is the "no fuss" option as it's a closed system. The h-50 is good but it's bigger bro the h-70 has a bigger radiator and extra 120mm fan. Depending on room in your case the h50 may be a better choice

I've got the room for a H70, i think i'll mount it at the front of the case having air intake and pulled through into the case while the big 200mm fan at the top exhausts it out.

Good setup do you think?

It depends if the pipes will reach. Most people do a push pull config, basically sandwich the rad between two fans. One sucks air in and the other pushes it out. When you have the kit you can experiment to see what cools best

the pipes are the same length as the H50

I guess there's only one way to find out. Just need to wait for a release on these and ill nab one :).

Well im not familiar with your case, hence being unsure if the pipes will reach the front. I know for a fact they don't on mine.

If your case has a 120mm exhaust fan you could just go with the h-50, yes the rad is smaller but if you already have a 120mm fan it's no bother to sandwich the rad between your fan and the one supplied.

I just struck gold!

I know the H70 has a thicker rad but is it any taller than the H50? If its not then i think i may be able to front mount the H70 if i get one.
