Hi guys, thinking of going underwater in the summer, but have little knowledge of the best components. This is hopefully where you come in :)

Going to be cooling sandybridge, probably an i7 2600k @5ghz, with 2 580's which I will probably overclock. I have decided on a dual loop setup, with one 120.3 rad and one 120.2 rad (going to be modding the phantom to accomodate these :)) with the cpu on one loop and the 2 gfx cards on the other. I have already decided on the reservoir: http://www.xspc.biz/ddcdualbayrestwo.php, now I just need to decide on the rest of the parts :).

I will probably be using dyed fluid, with plexi blocks and Blue LED Silverstone AP121 fans, so I just need to know the best tubing, pumps, radiator and blocks for the job, as well as the best fluid, dye and thermal paste. A good fan controller is also a must. Cheers guys, and I will mention you in the project log over the summer :)

Dont get 2 loops it makes no odds really.

Get a d5 pump
rx360 rx240
Ek blocks
and what ever res you like the look of.

And you will have great temps.

Also half inch barbs and 7/16 tubing.
Dont get die get coloured tubing
as5 paste and deionised water and ptnuke

Ek blocks for the CPU and graphics card

The res u chose go for the one pump version with a 18w pump will be more than enough flow

Have u thought what board u will be going for?

Probably going for the Maximus 4 Extreme when it comes out.

Cheers for the heads up about the loop, guess I'll go with the single loop then :)

And what's wrong with using die in the system? That mayhems stuff only needs about 3 drops so would that really clog up the blocks? It would also be better for leak testing surely :)

Yeah will probably go with the EK blocks, what's the best one with a plexi top for the CPU, and would copper or nickel be better for the GFX blocks? Oh and what make are those rads?

Mayhems is quite good and the guy who makes it is sound as well. If you need any info he will tell you.

It does clog up after a while. Just means your going to have to clean your loop more often.

Full copper are the best blocks but with that spec i listed you it doesn't matter you will have good temps anyway. Just get the one you like the look of.

The Mayhem guy has stopped it now but some American is going to try and take over. There's a thread about it on xtremesystems.

Coming from a complete noob here. but isn't it correct not to mix nickel and copper? As they can react with each other. So you should either use all nickel or all copper?

hmmm... interesting! I'll be keeping an eye out for this as I'm thinking of a similar setup for my rig!
