....that is cheaper then EK H3O Watercooling Kit - Supreme LT 120 £123, internal res and not ugly. the oc v8 is a good price but im not liking the drive bay reservoir

The idea is to water cool the cpu then at a later date the gpu.
maybe on a 2nd loop maybe with different colored water...

im

I don't think the EK has a drivebay reservoir? I've got the HF rather than the LT, but the instructions are (as best I can tell) the same. If so, what you get is a standard cylindrical reservoir which fits directly to the side of the pump, but the pump/res combo fits inside the case, not a bay. It's the XSPCs which use a bay combo kit. (The HF uses separate pump and res).

If you do go with the EK, can I suggest quieter fans? That's my biggest complaint with the HF.

The EK kits have a cylindrical res, but I'd go for one of the OcUK kits over it any day as they have better pumps and you can get them with cylindrical res aswell

thanks for the replys, just out of curiosity what is a decent pump around the same price as the EK pump? £30 I think

How can nearly doubling the cost be "better value"? Not every water cooler is hardcore you know? And the OP asked for cheap, not better value, or £/oC cooling.

OP said the V8 kit was good apart from the bay res so I presumed he was looking at those aswell

They have better hardware and the hardware included is more likely to last.

If your just cooling a CPU and plan to dry that way, then yeah, EK kit is better value but I presume that everyone may want to expand their loops later unless they state otherwise

sorry, I was looking if there is a good set up that is cheaper then the EK and v8 kits, the range of products is too large and if I attempted to spec a system I would have failed.

Anyway I went for the EK kit in the end as it comes with coolant and ok looking fittings, after seeing some youtube vids of mayhems pearl coolant I think I should have went with a drivebay res.

So here comes a coolent question. I seen a few posts on here about gunk build up in the water blocks from colored premix, I dont want to be removing the waterblock when its time to replace the coolent so is there any safe premixes out there?

im thinking of mayhems aurora when I add gpu block in the near future

Just remember that Mayhems is only usable for something like 6 months, whereas the Pastel range and X1 range is ok for 9 months, its upto you.
