Spec me a way to backup photos

Hey all,

Have maybe 10+ years of photos on a portable 2TB hard drive, and have been meaning to work out a way to get them backed up properly for years, and decided now is the time as I’d be heartbroken if I lost them.

I’ve got a google drive account (business) which apparently has unlimited storage but the daily upload limit seems to stop me uploading more than a few gig at once. Overall there’s probably only 100-200gb of photos.

So I was looking at NAS enclosures, WD MyCloud drives, RAID and I’m a bit lost.

What’s the best, cost effective way to get these backed up?

I would keep at google drive, its a great place to have as a secondary storage area while keeping your hard disks or what not local.

Start by getting another external drive.

Get another 2TB drive and clone the one you have, keep uploading up to your daily limit in the meantime.

Cant see the daily limit being a big deal its massive like 700 odd Gbs or something.
More than likely is poor upload performance.
