My only requirement is that it has a noise canceling microphone and a reasonable picture.. unfortunately I can't afford £60+ that OCUK have for the Logitech 9000 on for, plus it's out of stock atm.
Ta.

Microsoft VX-3000 is what I have. I can't fault it apart from the microphone isn't great. Software is a bit slow at booting up too. Other than that, great cam.

I had considered that one, but was a little unsure though a number of people (on another site) had said good things - it's so hard to know until you've spent the money. Thanks.

Any other suggestions?

Anyone got any thoughts about the Microsoft Lifecam VX-5000 or the Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 Webcam?
I have this urge to believe more money = better picture microphone. Probably very wrong.

I'd guess very similar. Though just with a slightly better camera and mic. If you were going for a Microsoft, I'd actually recommend the VX-6000. Good specs for around 40 quid.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions guys.

I wasn't wanting microsoft particularly, it was more they are about the right price point. No preference for their products particularly. In fact, when I glance around, many of my computer bits and pieces are logitech.

Sir-les, thanks for the suggestion, but I'm trying to avoid seperate mic/camera and have an all in one solution.

Regards Chris

Can anyone provide screen caps and from the cams that you have in operation right now? Looking for one that can do 720p @ 30 fps.

edit: Hmm. The VX-6000 claims 1280 x 1024 @ 30 fps. I'd really like to see how that looks.

Ok, honestly. Is the VX-6000 really this crappy? Or is there a setting I need to find?
