My uncle owns a pub which has a few guestrooms bolted on to it. He would like a wifi extender set of two plugs that he can add- one in the hallway outside the rooms and one room has seriously thick walls and would need it's own booster/plug.

What's a good recommendation? He has asked me to set it up which is fine but networking/wifi, I'd like a second set of "eyes" on buying something suitable.

So to recap - BT broadband/wifi in the pub. Needs 2 extender/booster plugs to cover guestrooms. One in hallway and one in a room that has really thick walls.

I think I’d probably tell him to use a mesh network instead of wireless extenders. BT whole home is decent value for money if that’s important. I’ve seen a few on here posting Google Home is worth a shout and if money not a problem then a Netgear Orbi.

Extenders need to be placed where there’s still a useable wireless signal available. They work as a stepping stone.

If your room with really thick walls hasn’t already got a reasonable wireless signal there’ll be nothing to extend from.

BT Whole Home Wi-Fi, Pack of 2 Discs, Mesh Wi-Fi for seamless, speedy (AC2600) connection, Wi-Fi everywhere in small to medium homes, App for complete control and 2 year warranty

Seeing this for about £100 online.

It would have to be a mesh setup that is idiot proof. I won't be there to fix it if anything goes wrong. Uncle isn't tech savvy so is this a viable option?
