Hi,

My wireless print server has died and the printer it was attached to is 10 years old nearly, and expensive to buy cartridges for, so I've decided it would be best to get a new printer. I have absolutely no idea about which are good but I have these requirements;

1. Use is mainly text documents, web pages and the occasional photograph.
2. Must be wifi.
3. Replacement of black cartridges (and all of them really) should be as cheap as possible.
4. The printer is not a device that is used a lot in our house so I've no intention of spending too much on one. What would £70 max get me?
5. I'm quite keen on HP ones, I don't know if that's sensible or not. :p

Any and all input is extremely welcome. :)

Thanks

Sounds good, any idea how much the cartridges are?

Found a HP Deskjet 3050 as well, only £40. Anyone have any experience with that?

scrap that, it looks rubbish. Epson Stylus SX515W looks pretty good for 50 sheets?

Also liking the look of the HP Photosmart Plus B209a

i'll add a bump to this thread as I'd be interested to know ppls suggestions on this too.

Are the kodak ones actually any good or is the "low ink costs" claim just a marketing thing to sell us poor quality cheap printers?

+1 for the Kodak 5 series printer.

Great printer, full set of black and colour inks for about £15, decent photo prints. Wifi works without fault.

Printed off all of my wedding stationary last year on it and it cost me about £25 in ink including a load of pictures to go up on photoboards around the reception venue.

Think the printer is about £110 ish to buy so slightly over your budget, but the ink is cheap in the long run.
