...for light gaming and general use. Bluetooth or USB IR is fine, had a couple of Logitechs recently - the VX Nano which I really like and currently using a MX revolution, but the batteries are packing in. Not a big fan of it's oversized shape TBH.

Prefer a mouse that takes AA/AAA batteries (so long as the charge lasts more than a few days!)

Gaming Grade
G700 = Very nice but I found the side buttons to be annoying.
Mamba = Ok, My early model had bad battery life and it also uses the Philips Twin Eye which has issues with lift off.

Office Grade
Performance MX = Awesome

I would take the g700 for your specs however the side buttons are very marmite.

Also consider Microsoft's SideWinder™ X8 Mouse.

A friend has one and loves it, battery life supposed to be pretty good too. We play lots of Quakelive and he is not the most careful player around ;)

The g700 has too many buttons for my liking, and the Mrs would have been scared to use it :) It's also a fair bit more expensive (£20 or so). Guess it depends how light the light gaming will be relative to general office use.

Don't buy Mamba. It's horrible, I own one and can easily say that mouses for £5 work better than this £100 not worth ****.

Soon I'll post a video on which I show how Mamba breaks under heavy hammer, because it already gave me too much frustration in FPS games.

this.

Dont purchase a mamba, I had one and it had issues with dropping out a lot, battery life being minial and was using the cable a lot (makes it non wireless).
The stand is kinda cool, main reason i purchased it but under the hud it's not as good as it should be for the price.

G700 is good if you can take the fit of the mouse, personally I've used and fallen in love with a sidewinder x8 wireless.. fantastic bit of kit and such a cheap purchase atm!
