Hi,

I'm after a wireless router, any suggestions?

1 pc in the lounge the other up stairs....distance from lounge to up stairs is either directly above so the signal will have to travel thru one floor board or alternatviely up the stairs, round the corner and thru my door... hmmm (just trying to offer as much info as poss)

I am currently on a 1mb service....

Please spec me a router which is ADSL2 compatible as I may be upgrading shortly...

Budget - well we are all after a deal huh???

Oh yea and I believe I will need pcima cards for both or 1 pc dunno if they both connect wirelessly or if the one hosting the connection connects with a wire...And I need it to accomodate a printer also ( i think a few extra connectors would be great as opposed to taking them all up)

Well I'm all ears........

Thanks guys I really appreciate your help...

Cheers!!!

P.S. Pls kindly bear in mind this will be my first network setup so therefore please go easy on me in your responses and use simple techie lamen terms (if poss) Thank you ...

For price/performance I'd recommend a NETGEAR DG834G for about £60.

I'd go for a NETGEAR WG511 (laptop card) or WG311 (PCI card). These are about £30 each.

For a printer to be connected to your network you'll need a print server. NETGEAR do a wireless one (model WGPS606) for about £60.

Hope that helps...
