Hi,

I have been asked to help a friend with some networking in their house. The house has three floors and currently they have a wireless router on the second floor. They have several 'dead' spots on the first floor. They have tried using boosters etc but they are no good.

I'm looking to get two routers one for the first floor and then another for the second. I'll be using the second as a repeater. Can anyone recommend any decent ones that would fit the fit the bill.

Thanks :)

What about a couple of wireless powerline adapters - that way, you can have both wired and wireless access within the property

Maybe not the cheapest option (seem to be about £70+ per adapter) - but probablythe most reliable

I'd prefer to use a router over something like powerline. Great I'll just get a matching pair, they are currently on G. Although all the laptops support N, just not their desktops. I think they will be slowly upgrading those to N at a later date.
