I'm ditching my dg834 wired router in an effort to get MAX speeds as I currently get 1mb downloads :(...So I'm going wireless.

Just wondering what are good routers? I don't need anythign with huge amount of ports, just a good, reliable router and obviously either a usb dongle or pci card - whatever's best.

I was thinking of the
Netgear DG834PN 108Mbps ADSL2+ Modem/Router & WPN111 Wireless Networking Bundle at £78, but if there anythign out there that is better and cheaper or just as good and cheaper?

Hi, I recently bought the Netgear DG834N ADSL router. So far it has been running really well and the only problems I have had are the latest wireless firmwire updates for my MacBook Pro. The interface is nice and is really easy to use and configure. I have the router connected to a Netgear Gigabit switch to link my upstairs and downstairs pcs too. Wireless range is pretty good too from one end of the house to the other (long bungalow) although most of the time I am connected to the wired LAN instead. If you want to be future proofed for the new draft n wireless standards definitely go for the 834N. It can be got for around £10 more than the PN as I was almost buying it before i spotted the PN. Managed to pick up the DG834N for £90. Cheapest around by a long shot. Hope this helps.
