Spec me a wireless router

Hi all

I’m on form 3rd thread of the day

Anyway, I have been asked to get the mrs. a router for her laptop, basically I haven’t got a clue when it comes to wireless networks and routers.

So can somebody spec me a router? (cheaper the better)

Details
Laptop: fujitsi siemens
ISP: Virgin media
BB Speed: 2mb

The Netgear DG834G is the basic workhorse of the wireless router world, assuming that your coonection is via ADSL which 2Mb/s would suggest.

You need to check what the connection is over - cable or ADSL.

The WRT54GL isn't much use with ADSL (unless you buy a modem to go with it), and the DG834G isn't much use on cable.

sorry for not replying

It's a cable connection (I think)(It doesn't have the phone line connected to it)
