It is with great sadness that my single filter Safir Sussex mask has succumbed to age, and the rubber of the mask is really giving up the ghost. I therefore need to replace it, but thought I'd seek opinions on what is currently on the market before I buy anything.

Previously I've always used the Safir Sussex stuff, so I'll just buy the same again unless anyone else comes up with anything.

Requirements:

- Mask only, as I'll be using a separate visor
- Grade 2 filtration only really, it's for woodwork so only need 1 for most things, but P2 would be handy for when I have to dabble with the evil that is MDF etc.
- Must be comfy. Must be comfy. Must be comfy.

That's about it to be honest. Cheers!

Thanks for the replies guys!

I was looking at the 7500 half before, wasn't sure the 6200 looking comfy enough, so that answers that question! For spare filters, is eBay a safe bet or do these get counterfeited? I usually buy my gear from J&L, but they only do bulk boxes of filters!

I realise disposable masks are cheap, but I'm surprised the proper half mask offerings aren't more commonplace given the advantages they give for the hobbyist or regular tradesman.

I think I'm actually set on the 7500 now - it's the model up, and I can get it for £17, so £3 more than the 6200 would cost me.

I'm still struggling to find sizes though - nowhere near me stocks these, so trying on isn't an option, I need to know what head measurements to take and what fits what! I'll keep looking and post back for the record if I find anything.

They're great, I've got one at the moment, it's just that in the long run they work out a long more expensive, and when you spend a lot of time in the workshop for pleasure, it's a big cost! I'm not too worried about swapping them, that's what the odd wipe over is for :).
