I use my office PC as mainly a workstation for . . .

WP, Database, Internet & e.mail
Photo Image Processing
Adobe CS3 & some graphics creation
a bit of video & DVD processing
Music/CD Processing
Windows XP Pro - no intention of switching to Vista

All for an ametuer etc etc

I currently have . . .

Asus P5WD2E-Premium
Intel D955 Extreme @ 3.46Ghz
Corsair XMS2 2Gb @ 1066Mhz

I would like to upgrade the processor, the MB and the RAM to something speedier that will last me 12 months'ish

I have a spare Core 2 6850 @ Ghz that I havent used yet - and would really like to match the FSB and RAM speed without OC'ing.

Any MB/RAM (DDR3 etc) suggestions please - I REALLY like Asus stuff btw.

Some PC 8500 RAM - whatevers cheapest tbh, it's all good at this speed. 2 x1GB should be enough in XP, although Vista 64 will thank you for 2 X 2gb
