I have to ask a few questions

Are you planning on raiding ? if so 25 or ten man

if you plan on riading especialy25 man you will need a pretty beafy sytem, so bare that in mind

A lot of aoe bangs smashes and of cause spells, in raid going offwith what bosses fo ect, you will defiantley need a nice system

RAID shouldnt be needed at all for a system just for WoW. an ssd will help with loading times, however the extra £100/70 for a slight increase in loading times wouldnt really be a good investment unless the OP has a money for it to spare. most of the gameplay is not loading screens.
just a simple system like specced above should give perfectly fine frame rates of 50-60 possibly more for wow even on max settings at 1920x1080/1200 or less

It saddens me how so many wow players only play wow.

As for needing a beefy pc for 25 man raids. Now i've never played wow but considering how old it is surely any tech within the last few years is more than enough? Like an I3 and 5770.

Raiding, not RAID. ;). I made the same assumption at first.

We get these WOW rig requests quite a lot.

WOW is intel and nvidia biased so tha helps chop the options down ;) MPs spec is good. You can get the OS and the HDD in a bundle deal saves you £10ish i believe.

Although I would probably spend a lil more on the PSU. The bequiet 530W and LEPA 600W are around £45. It's nice to have more than you need to cover you for the future.

You should also be able to link your account to get free delivery which helps out too ;)

made a couple of changes to mp's build:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i3-2100 3.10GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £94.99
1 x OcUK GeForce GTX 460 768MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - OEM £85.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Bundle - Home Premium 64 Bit £68.40
1 x Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (WD5000AAKX) £30.98
1 x Lepa W-Series 500W '80 Plus' Power Supply £46.99
1 x MSI H61M-P23 Intel H61 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard **B3 REVISION** £44.99
1 x BitFenix Merc Alpha Gaming Case - Black £32.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G) £23.99
1 x LG GH22NS70 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £16.99
Total : £462.82 (includes shipping : £13.75).

PSU change was to cope with the 460 (the corsair 430W could probably cope with it, but it would struggle)
case change for better cooling
also took advantage of the OS + HDD bundle

I built a pc for my brother with pretty much the exact same specs (Only the psu/case were different) for WoW only. It runs 10 on ultra at 50-60fps and 25 man raids on ultra at 50-55 fps. I would highly recommend this build.

Looks good. £75 for a M4, or get a 30 gig just for WoW.

The cost of a M4 and a decent 30G are so close its worth just going for the M4 for OS + WoW and a second mechanical drive for storage

While it wont give you any quicker fps the speed increase for loading textures and zones does make a huge improvement in overall gameplay and getting things done.

Why is reaper getting all the credit? He only added the changes I suggested nearly an hour earlier lol

Not sure I buy into the SSD argument. The OP said cheap as possible, it would be nice to have granted but it's an added expense.

The 460 reaper spec'd is the "Lite" version. The 1GB card was £95 but doesnt seem to be in stock anymore sadly. I'm sure that would have been his first choice as well as mine ;)

lol how wrong you are.

25 man raiding in wow is more taxing than a modern fps. i have seen some peoples pcs run modern fps nps but when it comes to 25 man riading they fail as i said its to do with the spell detail, in a 25 man riad its like a modern day laser show a lot goiing onall around you,

I think but could be wrong, that wow, you need a good cpu/mem and assd defiantley helps. in otherwords the gameis more taxing on mem/cpu than the graphics card itself.

I would like to see that ie 50-55fps in a 25 man riad, heck even i cannot get that
although i am running at a resoloution of 1920x1080
