Communication Program.

I play a game called CrossFire and I have joined a Clan with my best mate and instead of keep phoning each other every so often, I want to use a voice program. We both have headsets with mics. I have Skype, he doesn't and he doesn't want it so is there a SIMPLE program that we can both use, not Xfire as that has problems with CrossFire.

Any help would be appreciated. also has to be free :-)

Thanks

Yes mate it's Free & Very easy to use, Just Google Teamspeak & have a read & rest assured it's an Old & Well trusted prog.

Ah TeamSpeak is easy to use BUT make sure you get the correct version ... NEWER version 3 is out now but lots of peeps still using Version2 if you want it (ver 2) go to teamspeak download section and click on the small link near bottom ' file archive' :)

Thanks mate. I'm having a problem trying to create the server now...how? lol...

In my experience, all of these programs seem to have an overhead that either knocks your framerate or introduces input lag. Sometimes it's good to be a loner :D

if you can find someone who is kind enough to let you connect to their ventrilo server i would deffo go for that. Teamspeak sound quality is pretty meh compared to ventrilo.

There's plenty of public ventrilo servers that I'm sure wouldn't mind letting you use them.

In my experience Ventrilo is much superior to Teamspeak.
