...car mount for an iPhone 6 Plus.

Yeah yeah, Brodit are the way to go - but here's the sticker: it's for a work vehicle and as a result, ideally needs to be suction cup mount. I'd like something robust, that grips well, and I don't want to have to modify my phone by sticking anything to it.

What's good and what isn't?

yes, really good. Solid but tiny, well engineered - quality. i have the smaller one (for my 6) and it works a charm in any car I've taken it in. Plus there's the bonus of it not obscuring the windscreen.

As an aside, do you use your iPhone as a nav, and if so, what app did you go for?

I'm seriously considering the Tomtom one as it's a decent price.

I just use google maps or the apple one. can cause problems if you need to navigate without a signal, unless you pre-route it while you have a signal or wifi

Up until now I've used Google Maps. I find the Apple Maps interface and navigation screen to be better however there are so few POIs and it has consistently taken me to the wrong places.

However, Here Maps is something I'm going to try soon.

Also, another one here who can recommend the Kenu Airframe+. The standard Airframe is great.
