don't pick DGM monitors until you read the many many threads on them first.
then make your own mind up
and when you say rendering, what program does he use? as most now if not nearly all have cross platform support, and next to no difference in speed no mater which card you go for, of me i'd find out what program first, then spec a card, if accuracy is paramount, then i'd go for a pro card, as gaming cards aren't that accurate either

full tower case with no windows, it's not a bungalow, so no curtains needed in the office
would like to put in another sdd for work files, if sizes are over 1.5gb in sizes etc, depending on budget and program / work use.....
MD FirePro V5900 Professional Graphics Card, certified pro driver support with almost every known cad and rendering program out there, could do a Nvidia one, just costs a lot more
