Gaming and modding rig (mostly oblivion modding). Need new motherboard, memory, cpu and cooler. Cheaper the better, but built to last a couple years. Can't decide whether to get a dual core 555 to unlock and overclock, 955, i5, wait for the 1090t, or save up for an i7.

Please note: I'd prefer x8x8 crossfire on the motherboard, incase that'd make a difference.

I could probably afford to go the 555, 955 or i5 route within the next few weeks. Or maybe I should wait until I can enter MM, am I likely to find a better deal on there than on OCUK, and is it worth the wait?

My last "spec me" post, so make it count :D

Would there be any chance of me finding an i5/mobo/ram on the mm cheap? It'll probably be a while til I get enough posts for it though

I would wait a few weeks to see if the Phenom II X6 affects pricing of the Core i5 and Core i7. TBH, this would make the most sense. It is better to ask for a components list then IMHO.

CAT-THE-FIFTH, I added you as a friend so I could ask you about build questions, is there a way for me to contact you outside this forum? You're brainy :D

Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard

Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) - Retail

OCZ Obsidian 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 Dual Channel (OCZ3OB1600LV4GK)

I'm relatively new at this but I came up with this for £365. AHahahahahaha forgot delivery charge, I think its another £11 or something.
