Hey all

Can you spec me a Pc based around AMD Tri Core 720 Black Edition and Silverstone Fortress Case ( need to be included in budget)? Will be used for gaming, office, internet and some dvd-ripping. Will probably be looking to overclock a bit too. Budget approx £900. Don't need Monitor, OS or Mouse/Keyboard.

Cheers

Thanks for the fast replies. Would I be better getting a better CPU cooler if I'm looking to overclock? Is 4GB Ram enough these days or would 8GB be better? I could push my budget maybe upto £1,000 if it is worth the extra speed. Also would like it to be nice and quiet.

Cheers

If you want to overclock then yes you're better off getting another cooler. I think 4GB RAM is enough for most people. You can always upgrade later if necessary.

If you're going up to £1000 you could get an i7 for that kind of money.

4gb is plenty, don't worry about upgrading it for now.

You could do with an aftermarket cooler, a TRUE, noctua or Titan Fenrir (noctua quietest, fenrir coolest, true in the middle) will add 35-50 to the budget.

I'd also suggest spending another £10/20 on the PSU for a modular design.
