My employer has decided to pay for me to go on a one day Excel course. I would say I am an advanced user (Advanced formula (Nested ifs, Offset, Index, Match, Logitic to name a few) Custom Spreadsheets) but want to improvement my skills, so can you please recommend a course provider, and maybe a course as well.

Requirement
• Line of work Accounting (If that helps with the type of course/Excel use)
• One Day Course
• Advanced but not including VBA or not main part of the course.
• Eastmidlands/ Midlands Area
• Must have a certificate at the end (Thinking C.V/ future employers)

Thank You

Hi, I've never done an advanced course in Excel but I have used the Lynda.com Excell Basics and Advanced training CBT in Excel 2007. The problem I have with courses like these are that you cover a topic and in 2 weeks time the course in a distant memory. I still have the advanced disks and the cost will be a lot cheaper than sending you away and you can refer to them time and time again and the video tutorials can be paused or you can run them on a seperate screen while doing it. If your company is prepared to by them and give you a few days at home locked away to really do some hard core study you will get 10x the value. The certificate really isn't what employers look for, more so the Cert in Accountancy instead.

Check this out she covers the lot:
