OK I want to replace my Phanteks CPU Cooler as it just gets in the way when im cleaning my case....so I'm thinking of something like this

Or

I have only ever used one of these types of Coolers which was an Antec 920 ( even though it stopped working properly after two days)....but I'm willing to give it another go with a different model/make, but I'm not too sure on what is a good buy

thanx :)

To be honest I've not changed my a10 stock cooler it actually works really well. For a freebie on air.

But I do like that Silverstone one. I also eyed up the zalman water coolers

ok lol

but im having issues with space in the case...i broke my sound card the other week ..as i slipped while taking out the GPU to clean it of dust

The TC14PE is a very top end air cooler, so i think the H80i/Tundra 120mm won't really be a step up.

It will be more of a sidegrade..

If your case can take it i'd pick up the Kuhler 1220 as its currently on offer around £80..

Its a 240mm Rad like the H100i.

What are you willing to pay?

This stuff is usually very expensive compaired to high-end air even. Those 140mm RAD ones won't be that powerful compaired to a 240mm, or if you are ready to pay, 280mm.

how cool do these 120mm water coolers allow your cpu to run? If it is very cool i might be tempted to folow your idea.

my 7850k @ 4.3ghz with stock cooler runs with a thermal margin of 62C at idle and 41-44C at 100% load when cpu mining. i msort of thinking the stock cooler is best bang for buck for a htpc where a cooler plus fan needs to be under 64mm. Although i assume its fine to mount the radiator outside of the pc case?

Hmm words of wisdom :).......perhaps I should look to investing in a dust filter for the bottom of the case

my idle temps are around 25-27c ( a cool room ),..in a warmer room about 30c , when on BF4 they are around 42-44....although I have no overclocking on the CPU at this time

thanx :)
