Well hi - I've been building the Deag Millennium Falcon for several years, that project is on hold because of the size, so I'm getting back into scale model building. I've just bought the Tamiya 1:48 A10 and want an airbrush to paint it.

I have an old Conorpois Model F that's 40 odd years old and a bit finicky to use. I also bought a cheapo amazon one to see how I got on and realise that was a complete waste of money. I'll want something that will do detail work as well as larger coverage, so what should I be looking at. Would something like this that comes with a .28 & .45 nozzle set be the kind of thing I should be looking at?

Harder & Steenbeck 121233 EVOLUTION 2024 CRplus 2in1 (0.28+0.45mm, 2+5ml cup)

Other ideas gratefully received. ngl, that really is going to be the top end of my budget and spending less would be a bonus. I already have a compressor with a water trap and looking to initially spray Tamiya acrylics

Cheers in advance

You might get away with just the 0.45 nozzle.

The smaller the nozzle the more issues you run into with paint consistency and the H&S 0.45 does get down. The 0.28 can be considered as micro brush.

The new Ultra could save you some money and I believe a few on here have it and love it. Could also upgrade it to the smaller needle and nozzle set if you require it.

I have the squidmire infinity and the older ultra.

Really happy with my H&S Ultra and also the 2 in 1 Evolution 2024, I mainly use the Ultra for priming my Warhammer stuff as I refuse to buy rattle cans at stupid prices ;)

Cheers for the replies.
I decide on the H&S Evo 2024 2 in 1 one I linked above in the end - thanks again!
